Geography, evidence and research coverage

The county map uses Census 2017 geometry redistributed by US Atlas. Place names, county relationships and reference points use 2020 Census files. These are navigation baselines, not a current legal-boundary or municipal-status audit. Newly formed places and annexations may be absent.

Municipalities and Census-designated communities are identified separately. A place may span multiple counties. Unincorporated territory remains represented in its county profile. School-district and workforce-board service areas must be verified separately.

All counties and listed places have a research destination. A first reviewed set is available in selected counties. Unreviewed bulk research and proposed geography changes remain pending. Findings do not rank major municipalities or establish current vacancies, guaranteed enrollment or qualified sales opportunities.
