Pearson people & state presence

Registered representation, advertised responsibilities, and the questions to validate inside Pearson.

A documented baseline, with clear limits.

Initial review of ten Priority 1 states; counts cover matched Pearson-named clients, not an exhaustive audit of all affiliates or employees. Lobbyist registration does not establish an employee relationship, CTE assignment, access to a legislator, or revenue opportunity.

Counting rules

  1. Count distinct named individuals within each state and disclosed registration period.
  2. Deduplicate executive and legislative registrations; exclude explicit cancellations.
  3. Report firms and employer contacts separately from people.
  4. Retain exact client labels, source dates, and incomplete affiliate coverage.
  5. A missing match or failed retrieval is unknown, never zero.
  6. Do not sum state counts into a national employee headcount; one person may represent multiple states.

Coverage is deliberately scoped to Pearson-named client records. A complete audit must first verify relevant subsidiaries and legal names, then search those aliases. Contacts, firms, board members, and similarly named individuals are not interchangeable with lobbyists.

Registry pages can change after this snapshot. Document dates are shown separately from the review date. An accessible search form alone does not verify a result.
