A documented CTE program, funding mechanism, or pathway supports targeted development; the current buyer and budget still need qualification.

Skill needs and Pearson solutions

Selected skill and training priorities from reviewed workforce sources, chosen for relevance to career pathways and the Pearson portfolio. They are analytical selections, not an official top-three ranking or a measurement of statewide shortages. Program provision establishes a training priority, not proof that a deficit remains.

These evidence labels do not change the three map tiers. A reported shortage, a demand signal and a training priority are different findings.

Knowledge Matters Virtual Business–Management provides management decisions to discuss with a teacher or coach; Workplace & Internship Readiness builds personal leadership foundations.

Analytical recommendation; no state-specific outcome is claimed.

Validation & measurement

School-oriented resources are not validated here as incumbent-supervisor training. Assess adult fit and require workplace coaching, role-specific practice and employer acceptance.

Proposed success measures

Supervisor-observed delegation, feedback and decision-making; retention is a longer-term outcome with multiple causes.

Set the baseline and target with educators and employers. No target or revenue is assumed.

Skill need & evidence

Advanced computer skills

Employer-reported gap

Employers report limited advanced computer proficiency, including programming, databases and AI; demand is expected to grow.

Use entry-level programming and database learning as a bridge toward the specific coding competencies employers identify.

Analytical recommendation; no state-specific outcome is claimed.

Validation & measurement

Map the current course and exam objectives to Python, SQL or the requested technology. Foundational IT certification alone does not resolve advanced programming, database or AI skill shortages.

Proposed success measures

Independently reviewed code or database task, proficiency progression and employer-approved work sample.

Set the baseline and target with educators and employers. No target or revenue is assumed.

Pre-mechatronics and manufacturing readiness

Ready for Industry Manufacturing introduces industrial terminology and processes. Relevant NCCER craft materials may support a welding or maintenance pathway.

Analytical recommendation; no state-specific outcome is claimed.

Validation & measurement

Select actual plant tasks and equipment with employers. These resources do not establish complete mechatronics, semiconductor, CNC or biomanufacturing training. Lab access and specialist curricula remain necessary.

Proposed success measures

Employer-defined onboarding task performance and progression into supervised technical training.

Set the baseline and target with educators and employers. No target or revenue is assumed.

Connect to college credit and credentials

Use virtual coursework where it fits the approved pathway. Have the college verify course credit, transfer and degree applicability; have the credential issuer verify assessment requirements. eDynamic course completion alone does not award college credit.
